Gliding Doors
Space-saving operation on the interior and exterior of the home, with adjustable panels, gasket
seals, and interlocking weatherstrip for a tight, energy-efficient seal.

Hinged Doors
Wider openings and more ventilation, with multi-point locks and adjustable screens for secure,
smooth operation.

Both configurations are available with narrow standard panels that maximize glass and view, or French-style panels that offer more wood for a traditional look. Thermal-break door sills and Perma-Shield cladding help reduce condensation and keep exteriors low-maintenance.

What It Means to Choose an Andersen Certified Contractor

Not every installer who sells Andersen products has earned Andersen Certified Contractor status, and the distinction affects both the quality of your installation and the warranty protection behind it. 

To earn and keep Andersen Certified Contractor status, an installer must complete Andersen's hands-on installation training, meet Andersen's installation standards and program requirements, and maintain ongoing access to Andersen's product support and technical resources. Certified Contractors receive continued product information and on-site support directly from Andersen. 

That certification carries a direct benefit for homeowners: when an Andersen Certified Contractor installs your patio doors, Andersen backs the installation itself with a 2-year limited warranty, separate from and in addition to the manufacturer's warranty on the doors. An installer without certified status can still sell Andersen products, but the installation isn't eligible for that coverage — worth confirming when you compare quotes.
