Each top-hinged window sash opens outward from the bottom using a secure crank handle. Dual-pane glass and a vinyl frame and sash form a durable combination for seasonal weather.

Ventilation, Privacy & Security

Awning windows open from the bottom to direct fresh air into the room. You can adjust the sash for the amount of airflow you want, and the outward angle can allow ventilation during light rain. Wind direction and rainfall intensity still matter, so an open window shouldn’t be treated as fully weatherproof.

The design also provides airflow without opening the entire window area to the outdoors. Privacy and security depend on the complete installed unit, including the locks, hardware, frame condition, and installation. When closed, the sash secures against the frame.

Crank Operation & Cleaning Access

Our awning windows’ top-hinged, one-handle design provides straightforward control over ventilation. The crank lets you open the sash just a crack for limited airflow or farther outward for more. It also pulls the sash securely against the frame when closed.

Opening the sash provides access to the interior frame for cleaning. Actual cleaning access depends on the window’s location and installation configuration, so it’s important to consider reach, furniture placement, and exterior clearance when selecting the window.
